Walking , keeping fit ?

  Walking to maintain some fitness I hope !!! I love seeing what birds are in the creek, as well as the resident seagulls far from any sea ! Black swans are such a delight to watch gliding in a ballet of their own on the water. Pelicans were further along the creek a flock of about 20, dab chicks swim and feed off the duckweed.... and the resident magpies are always busy on land.....then something disturbs the vast flock of corellas and their sound erupts as does that wonderful vision of the flock in flight.... So really it is a distracting walk.....that is I don't notice I have come out for exercise !!! When I return home I will often do some household chores and then wonder what creativity will I indulge in.... I design wood pieces mostly for creative buttons, which I have laser machined and I paint... around Christmas time my habits change to decorations to paint and hang about for Christmas decorating. It is exciting as I begin a new blog ... I always enjoyed a blog as a great form of communication in a world of short sharp communications. This morning, I was finishing some work on the French Rabbits that seem to have taken me over in some sense and needed to talk more on the how to without making a " paper pattern" ***** I have used the French rabbit as a button for years and drawn a few story rabbits at Christmas a few years ago,,. The French Rabbits were selected for a paint class in March 2025 at Hey Sunday gift store in Cohuna. I began to redraw on what I selected to tutor painting. I drew 2 sets of rabbits on 300 gsm rough watercolour paper and penned them in with a pen that does not run when adding water to it ! One was for painting then cutting out and gluing a stick so the bunny would make an addition to a flower arrangement, pot plant etc. I also drew on small pieces fabric, calico that has a load of sizing in it, to allow the paint to stay put !
